Create a Static Survey
A Static Survey is one you author yourself: a fixed set of questions, the same for every participant. They’re unlimited on every plan, including Free.
Create one
Section titled “Create one”- Go to Surveys.
- Select Create. The create dialog is the single entry point for new surveys — it asks which kind you want, and can start you from a template instead of a blank survey.
- Choose Static.
You land in the builder. A Static Survey has three steps: Setup → Questions → Send.
Step 1 — Setup
Section titled “Step 1 — Setup”The setup step establishes what the survey is and how it behaves:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Title | Shown to participants and used throughout reporting |
| Audience | Who this survey is for |
| Estimated minutes | Shown to participants up front, so they know what they’re committing to |
| Anonymous responses | Collect responses that are deliberately not bound to a user identity. A paid option — see Anonymous responses |
| Allow partial | Whether a participant may submit without answering everything |
Step 2 — Questions
Section titled “Step 2 — Questions”Add your questions and pick an answer type for each. There are nine answer types plus a one-click NPS preset — see Question types for what each one produces.
Switching a question between closely related types keeps what you’ve already written. Moving between Choice and Multi-select, or between Scale and Rating, preserves your options and bounds rather than resetting them.
Step 3 — Send
Section titled “Step 3 — Send”The Send step has two states.
Before you publish, it’s a review surface: an overview of the survey plus a readout of every question, so you can check the whole thing in one place.
After you publish, the same screen becomes the live share surface — the entry link and QR code, email invites, scheduling, and the embed snippet. There’s no separate share dialog to hunt for. See Distribution.
After it’s live
Section titled “After it’s live”- Responses arrive with a full transcript
- Participants can revise their answer during the edit window — 24 hours by default
- On a paid plan you can explicitly generate an Agent Results Brief from Static Survey data, either while the survey is live or after it closes. It isn’t produced automatically, and it doesn’t refresh itself as new responses arrive — regenerating is always a deliberate action.
