Collecting Async Feedback Using Email

Email is the default method for collecting Async Feedback in ScatterSpoke. But we recommend using your chat tool (Slack or Teams) as a best practice.

There are a couple use cases for using email to collect Async Feedback in ScatterSpoke even when you have chat enabled.

  1. You are collecting feedback for a Retrospective.
  2. You want to allow participants to enter multiple answers for each question.

The flow of Async Feedback collection using email is:

  1. Participants receive an email.
  2. Participants are sent to the Reflect phase of a retro board.
  3. Participants create cards on the retro board.

The key difference is where participants enter their feedback.

In the email flow, they enter their feedback on a retro board in ScatterSpoke.

In the chat flow, they enter it directly within your chat tool (Slack or Teams) and are limited to one answer per question.
